Fascinating, isn’t it? Indeed, they now operate quite similarly to Cloudways in terms of functionality.

Why I Switched from Cloudways to XCloud.Host

Seamless Server Connection

I purchased a VPS server from Hostinger and connected it to XCloud.Host with ease. XCloud.Host allows you to connect any custom servers in addition to popular providers like Vultr and DigitalOcean. All you need is the server name & SSH password and IP address. Once connected, you can host multiple websites on a single server.

1. I created a Staging site on XCloud as i want to migrate it from Cloudways to XCloud. If you want to install new wordpress Website, you can directly add your Domain name into it.
2. After that they provide their inbuilt Migration Tool plugin that we need to install on the Staging Site and on Cloudways live website
3. After I put Migration Key, the Migration process started and it was completed successfully
4. Later I changed my Domain name and I entered into my website using their inbuilt Magic Login feature which take us directly into WordPress Dashboard
5. Make use your SSL Certificate is connected properly. (Integrating your Cloudflare Account is recommended)

Server Management Features:

Once you click on the Server, you will find all the sites you installed undr the Server. You can tweak the Settings for Each websites individually

Shows server name, IP address, RAM size, web server, database, and software details. Currently, only Ubuntu OS is supported.

Using Server Settings Section, you can restart the Server Utilities such as MySQL, Nginx, Redis, PHP, OpenSSH

You can update PHP Configuration for Server from here easily.

You can keep track of your server's RAM, CPU, and disk usage to determine if an upgrade is necessary. Without this monitoring, your server might slow down and experience frequent downtimes. Additionally, server uptime reports are available to check the last time your server was down.

You can find Server logs and events to monitor the Server activities. Here you can find the Server Errors and Access logs

Under Server Security, they provide Fail2Ban Management where you can ban specific IP addresses which are sending bot traffic or trying to abuse the Server in any way.

Recently they integrated Wordfence in the System backend to check the Vulnerabilities for Each websites

You have the option to disable Magic Login feature. For me it is of great help to login to my WordPress quickly when i am in the XCloud. Also you can update the Server Time Zone here

Website Management Features

When comes to Websites, You can change ther Domain name and enable/disable HTTPS. XCloud provide free SSL Certificate on its own. You can also use Inbuilt Clouflare SSL option to apply if you already integrate your Cloudflare account

Even you can upload your Own SSL Certificate on your own provided by other SSL providers

1. Redirection: Redirect links to another URL without plugins.
2. wp-config File: Easier updates.

4. Object Caching: Provides Redis object cache.
5. Security:
   • Scan websites for vulnerabilities in WordPress core and plugins

   • Backup using various storage providers (e.g., DigitalOcean Space, Vulture Object Storage, CloudFlare R2)
